Workshops
We introduce an educational program that entails a range of longer and short term workshops. These workshops
are specifically tailored for local students and young professionals, providing them with a unique
opportunity to collaborate with international colleagues and tutors.
The workshops are linked to the yearly research program. The courses are open for enrollment through an open call, with participants coming from Georgia and international backgrounds. In an innovative educational ecosystem, local tutors collaborate with their international counterparts, forming a dynamic horizontal structure that promotes an equal exchange of knowledge. The course combines lectures and workshops with site visits and field trips that allow students to immerse themselves into the architectural environment of the city.

(Re)Collecting Architecture
The research workshop at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts will focus on memory, transformation, and identity. It will be conducted by Kristin Wenzel, a multidisciplinary artist and co-founder of Template. The workshop aims to explore sustainable approaches to cultural and architectural heritage, delving into methods of care, protection, and conservation through the perspective of visual arts.

Archive of Real Socialism — Tbilisi
Ubani Tbilisi Cityscape Research Center and TU Wien (Department of Gestaltungslehre and Design), with the Georgian Technical University (Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design), organise a field trip that aims to study the socialist past of Tbilisi. Selected locations include the former VDNKH exhibition space (Expo Georgia), Akademgorodok, and Tbilisi State University Campus.
